With a record 24-race schedule, the 2024 Formula One season kicks into high gear

Formula 1

The 2024 Formula One World Championship will have the longest season in the history of the competition, with 24 races in the season. The F1 calendar for the upcoming season will be more regionalized in an effort to lighten the logistical load and increase the season’s sustainability.

The Bahrain Grand Prix will kick off the championship on March 2 and run through December 8 in Abu Dhabi. Due to the start of Ramadan, the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grand Prix will be held on March 2 and 9, respectively, instead of the regularly scheduled dates.

The 24 races in 2024 are expected to break the previous record for most races in a single Formula One season. Only 22 of the 23 scheduled races were held the previous year. The number of races this season has surpassed the previous record of 22 with 24.

After being canceled due to pandemic-related issues last year, China will return to the calendar this year, bringing the total number of races back to 24.

All driver and team combinations that participated in the season’s last round stayed the same at the beginning of the next season, a first for the Formula One World Championship. Important competitors are L. Hamilton and G. Russell for Mercedes, Max and Sergio Perez for Red Bull, Carlos and Charles Leclerc for Ferrari, and so on.

Six races for sprinters
Six sprint races will be held during the 2024 Formula One World Championship at the Grand Prix in China, Miami, Austria, the USA, Brazil, and Qatar.

Compared to the three sprint races conducted in the previous season, this represents an increase. Lando Norris, a British driver, and Oscar Piastri, an Australian driver, have signed long-term contracts with McLaren that will keep them employed through the end of 2026. Charles Leclerc, the Monegasque driver for Ferrari, has also extended his deal with the team.

The schedule for the 2024 Formula One World Championship, which consists of 24 races, has been revealed. The races will begin in Bahrain on March 2 and end in the United Arab Emirates on December 8.
