The trading of receiver Stefon Diggs between the Bills and Texans will have an effect on the impending season. Already, the betting market is feeling the effects of it.
On a number of wagers, the odds at DraftKings Sportsbook have already changed. The Texans’ chances of taking the AFC South have increased from +135 to +115. The AFC Championship odds have changed from +1200 to +900. Additionally, their +2500 to +1700 odds of winning the Super Bowl have changed.
Buffalo’s chances have turned the other way. Previously +140, the Bills are now +160 to win the AFC East. Previously +550 to win the conference, they are now +700. Right now, they have a 12-1 probability of winning the Super Bowl.
They were 11-1 before then. The MVP odds have also been adjusted by the shift. The quarterbacks for the Texans, C.J. Stroud, is now +900, while Josh Allen, the quarterback for the Bills, was previously +700.
To be honest, the Texans seem like a better club right now than the Bills. Maybe the odds will eventually reflect that. Currently, they don’t.
