A spokesperson for Donald Trump attempted to criticize Vice President Joe Biden by referring to him as someone who “can hardly speak,” but she struggled to find the right words to express her thoughts.
On Tuesday, Karoline Leavitt, who serves as the national press secretary for the Trump campaign, stated on Newsmax that the transcript contained in the Hur report was extremely damning to Joe Biden.
“In addition to that, it was extremely damning to him politically because it demonstrated what the people of the United States see with their own eyes on a daily basis, and that is that Joe Biden is unable to speak,” she said.
On multiple occasions, Leavitt referred to Attorney General Merrick Garland by the name “Merricka Garland.”
Leavitt, who ran for Congress in 2022 but was unsuccessful, was referring to the highly controversial report that Robert Hur, the special counsel, had written in the case involving the classified documents. In that report, Hur referred to Vice President Biden as “a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”
Former officials from the Justice Department have criticized Hur for what appeared to be more of a personal attack on the president than a report that explained the case.
On Tuesday, Leavitt was ridiculed by her detractors for the fact that she stumbled over her own words while making the claim that Biden “can hardly speak.”
