People’s accounts of the number of attendees at Donald Trump’s most recent rally have led to questions about the size of the crowd.
In an effort to garner support before November’s presidential election, Trump, the presumed Republican Party nominee, held a sizable rally in a Democratic borough of New York City on Thursday.

At Crotona Park in the South Bronx, he briefed supporters about his future plans for the city should he win the presidency.
The New York Times, citing the Police Department, stated that the rally was authorized to hold 3,500 people. Some claimed that a lot more people attended the event, though.
In the meantime, Newsmax reporter John Tabacco applauded the event in a video and stated that he believed between “25,000 and 30,000” people were present. “Over 30,000 people,” according to Bo Loudon on X, attended the rally.
Viewers were informed by Kristen Holmes, the national correspondent for CNN, that the turnout was “a bigger crowd than Democrats would like to see.” While many of the people she spoke with at the Bronx rally were locals, she noted that the Trump campaign does bring people from other places to some of his rallies.
The Shallow State’s X account, however, stated that the “size of the crowd was small.” Ron Filipkowski, an attorney and Trump skeptic, added: “Right-wing media can hype this Bronx rally all they want. In a city of over 8 million people Trump drew 4,000 tops. That’s with a lot of people from out of state.”
Jonathan Lemire, host of MSNBC, added that during a show, there were about 7,000 people in attendance.
At the rally, Trump declared that, should he win the presidency, he would back the Democratic leaders of New York.
“As soon as I get back into the Oval Office, I am going to pick up the phone and I’m going to call your mayor and your governor, and I’m going to say, ‘this is President Trump and I want to come back and help,'” said Trump, who, up until 2019, had lived in New York City until formally relocating to Palm Beach, Florida, in 2019
“You have a Democrat governor, you have a Democrat mayor and we are going to work with them, and we are going to get this state and this city at a level that it’s never seen before,” he said.
Online, the former president was made fun of for a different passage in his speech where he discussed putting on his pants first thing in the morning.
