In a new partnership, Krispy Kreme unveiled unique doughnuts tailored to the subject of a well-known American show, FRIENDS.
Four fresh tastes have been added by the Krispy Kreme doughnut shop. Still, the doughnuts only find availability in the United Kingdom. Monday, June 17 the unique doughnuts arrive on the shelf.
Given the American nature of the program, the fans were let down by the availability of the themed doughnuts in the USA.
Given the show’s strong American roots and huge fanbase in its native country, some American viewers find some irritation about this restricted distribution elsewhere.
The new FRIENDS-inspired Krispy Kreme doughnuts are: There are four fresh flavors for the doughnuts inspired by sitcoms. The doughnuts’ tastes and design pay homage to the fundamental elements of many facets of the production.
Inspired by FRIENDS, Snackolator posted on Instagram a sneak peek at the four Krispy Kreme doughnuts.
The post featured images of one doughnut called “FRIENDS” illustrating a white chocolate representation of the Washington Square Park fountain in relation to the opening show title sequence.
Presenting a delectable treat with strawberries and custard, combined with chocolate and green sprinkles, the second doughnut was The Trifle Friends. Third one is titled The How You Doin’?
The doughnut topped with passionfruit and extra mango-flavored icing over a purple-dipped doughnut.
More chocolate swirls, the last flavor, We Were on a Coffee Break doughnut, had a core white chocolate representation of the core Perk logo, and latte-flavored frosting.
Fans disappointed with the customized availability of doughnuts The fans of the show, however, were confused and disappointed with the availability of the themed doughnuts only in the vicinity of UK when the show was based in New York City.
Many fans showed their disappointment on social media as they commented on the preview post by Snackolator.
There was a complaint from one user. Here’s where the decision-making process is just confusing me. Friends was a major hit in the US (I know it’s popular elsewhere too, but really), so why is this exclusive to the UK?
I enjoy seeing all of these interesting tastes and foods, but it also makes me realize how much we are missing out on.
“I’m a huge Friends fan and I would have loved to see these donuts in a Krispy Kreme shop in the US,” wished a second user. In agreement with other users, a third person wrote, “UK? Why not New York City, bro?
“Can I get these shipped to the US?” inquired another. LOL,” another person wrote, “Why wouldn’t this distinctly American phenomenon be released in the United States? They despise us.
