James Cameron’s longtime producing partner, Landau, produced three of the top four highest-grossing films. Landau’s movie “Titanic,” was the first picture to gross $1 billion worldwide.
He broke that record again with 2009’s “Avatar” and 2022’s “Avatar: The Way of Water.”
Landau was heavily involved in the “Avatar” sequels before his death. Cameron plans to release five films in his blockbuster sci-fi trilogy, with the fifth perhaps in 2031.
