Voters are unperturbed by lawsuit against Donald Trump: Tim Scott

Scott said in the interview, “The one thing I think the electorate is thinking about most often is, how in the world will the next president impact my quality of life?”

Scott seemed to have disregarded the verdict from a New York jury last week, which mandated that the 77-year-old veteran politician pay columnist E. Jean Carroll $83.3 million in settlement of a defamation lawsuit.

Carroll claimed that thirty years ago, in a Manhattan department store dressing room, Donald Trump had sexually assaulted her.sexually assaulted her.

According to Newsmax, Scott claimed that rather than concentrating on Trump’s legal issues, voters are considering how to improve the country and feeling as though “they were better off under Trump.”

Trump promised to appeal the decision and refute the columnist’s allegations, despite being ordered to pay Carroll $83.3 million.

Scott went on to say that the jury’s verdict had not altered his feelings toward Trump, adding, “Myself and all the voters that support Donald Trump support a return to normalcy as it relates to what affects their kitchen table.”

“The average person in our country, they’re not talking about the lawsuits,” he said, adding that these legal proceedings are in the fat, benefiting him more.

According to him, “the idea that Donald Trump is being weaponized by the legal system is actually improving his poll numbers.”

But Trump is fighting more than one criminal case at the moment. The former president is also accused of 91 felonies in states including New York, Florida, Georgia, and Washington, DC.
