Alasdair Gold says ‘terrific’ Tottenham youngster needs scan after injury

Spurs’ season has been dominated by injuries thus far, with some unfortunate blows decimating Ange Postecoglou’s early progress.

Alasdair Gold, a journalist covering Tottenham Hotspur, has learned of a young player at the club’s regrettable injury.

Having players like Micky van de Ven and James Maddison back in the lineup is now such a reward for Tottenham, as these players rose to prominence shortly after being signed.

Despite Radu Dragusin’s addition to Spurs’ defense earlier this month, they still lack a few bodies at center back…..

……..Even though Ben Davies can fill in, Alfie Dorrington is the most natural center-back among the senior trio because Ashley Phillips is currently on loan at Plymouth Argyle.

However, given that and the player’s own development, Spurs supporters will be dissatisfied to learn that Dorrington has now developed a hamstring injury.

The 18-year-old had to leave the field due to a problem after starting for Tottenham’s under-21 team against Bristol City last night in a 1-0 victory.

Gold has since provided an update on the injury, confirming that the “terrific” Tottenham kid may miss a sizable amount of time.

Naturally, Spurs supporters are not going to be happy to learn this about any of their players, much less one who is succeeding with Wayne Burnett’s young team.

Although it’s frustrating, perhaps Tottenham still has hope that the injury isn’t too serious. Gold will likely provide an update soon.

However, based on the starting lineup and the remaining days of the transfer window, it is believed that one player would be eager to work on Postecoglou’s project.
