In the early hours of Sunday morning, a semi-truck was responsible for the death of a Santaquin police officer.
At some point prior to eight o’clock in the morning on May 5, the incident took place on Interstate 15 close to milepost 244 in Santaquin.
At 8:30 in the morning, Cpl. Wright of the Utah Highway Patrol announced that both directions of Interstate 15 would be closed for an extended period of time in the area of the crash.
