Representative Thomas Massie of Kentucky lost his wife. Social media posts by the congressman representing the 4th district stated that his wife Rhonda “went to Heaven” on Thursday.
Her reason of death is not mentioned in the post. Yesterday, Rhonda, my high school sweetheart, entered paradise.
Severe thunderstorms across Iowa
She has been my loving partner for more than 35 years, a devoted mother to our four children, the smartest, nicest person I have ever met, and my beautiful, wise queen forever.
We appreciate you praying for our family at this trying time. Composed by Massie.
According to Massie, he and his spouse were infatuated in high school. She was our high school valedictorian, we went to prom with, she got accepted to both MIT and Harvard, she graduated from MIT with a degree in mechanical engineering, and she dedicated her life to our family.
Our grandson was the greatest mammaw ever, and we spent last week touring Mount Rainier together! Rhonda, you are loved by us.
The 4th District of Kentucky, which covers the counties of Oldham, Spencer, Shelby, Trimble, Nelson, Carroll, Owen, and others, is represented by Representative Massie. In 2012, he was initially elected to the position.
In a statement, the Kentucky Republican Party expressed its sorrow and heartfelt sadness at Rhonda Massie’s passing. Rhonda was a wonderful wife, mother, and native of Kentucky.
She had an impact on everyone she met and will be sadly missed. We kindly ask you to join us in praying at this trying time for Congressman Massie and his family.
