PITTSBURGH- Flash flood warnings are being issued for the majority of Allegheny County as it wakes up. As of this morning, there are still showers that include pockets of heavy rain.
Rapid escalation of small creeks and streams, accompanied by flooding in areas with inadequate drainage, is a possibility. There is a warning in effect until 7:15 in the morning.
Other areas are experiencing fog that is particularly dense locally. By ten or eleven in the morning, the showers will have stopped. After that, the sun will begin to come back into the sky.
We are unable to rule out the possibility of a stray shower occurring late this afternoon and evening; however, any precipitation that does occur will primarily be located to the east of Pittsburgh.
Tomorrow is forecast to begin with patches of fog, but after that, it will be a day with mostly sunny skies and temperatures that are getting close to 80 degrees. For the Pink Walk, the weather forecast calls for a really pleasant morning.
At the beginning of the new week, high pressure continues to be in control. It is expected to rain again on Wednesday, which is known as Impact Day. The timing appears to be later at this point in time.
