An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3 has struck south of Hawaii’s Big Island, causing buildings to shake and causing massive tremors to be felt across the island of Oahu, which is located more than 200 miles away from the epicenter, according to the authorities.
Although the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has said there is no threat of a tsunami, it is still noteworthy that the earthquake occurred just four miles southeast of Naalehu at a depth of more than six miles.
Uncertainty exists regarding whether or not the earthquake has caused any fatalities or injuries.
According to the Tsunami Agency, the natural disaster has been classified as a VI, which indicates that it is expected to cause significant damage but is not anticipated to cause catastrophic damage.
