Thursday night at the annual State of the Union address, First Lady Joe Biden’s box will be occupied by UAW President Shawn Fain and Natalie King, the CEO of Dunamis Charge and a Detroit-based woman.

The two will be seated with the First Lady along with a few other guests for the national address, which is scheduled for Thursday night at 9 p.m. King is the one who founded Dunamis Charge, the nation’s first African American woman-owned manufacturer of electric vehicle chargers. By 2025, Dunamis hopes to have 135 employees in Detroit and produce 400,000 EV chargers.

Biden gave her an introduction at the Women’s Business Summitt hosted by the Small Business Administration the previous year. As UAW president, Fain assisted in guiding the organization through historic talks with the Big 3 in the previous year.

In addition, Biden received support from the union, and during last year’s week-long strike, Biden joined the workers on the picket line.
