Juventus’ Serie A season for 2023–24 has eight games left to play.
Few of the eight games left will be viewed as relatively simple wins; instead, Max Allegri’s team will face difficult obstacles at every step of the road.
That covers the events scheduled for tonight at Allianz Stadium.
While La Viola is never as simple to handle as it may seem based on their form, Juventus’ matchup with Fiorentina is very much one team that has suffered recently against another team that has struggled recently.
We are aware of this based on their previous meeting and the fact that they are now in the midst of winning a Coppa Italia semifinal match.
It will be interesting to observe over the next couple of hours just how much those two victories boost confidence, but in the past few months, these two clubs have rarely had the opportunity to declare that they are genuinely trying to win back-to-back games.
Given that both teams have struggled in Serie A for some months, it seems appropriate that they have been given a glimmer of optimism and the potential for a partial turnaround after splitting their Coppa Italia midweek.
After defeating Lazio thanks to a strong second-half performance, it is undoubtedly a sign of hope for Juventus.
Even though they have acknowledged that they are not out of this difficult situation after one strong half of football, at least there has been some positive action instead of the same old foolishness that has characterized the past two months.
They now need to try to do it in the league, as a loss of further points will make the race much closer for the Turin Derby the following weekend.
