Prosecutor Susan Hoffinger is questioning Stormy Daniels, the adult film star who accepted payments to keep quiet about an alleged romance with Donald Trump, in the former president’s criminal hush money trial in New York.
The “hush money” payment of $130,000 was given to the adult film star to prevent her from disclosing her claimed affair with Trump to the public prior to the 2016 election.
The 34 accusations of fabricating business records against Trump center on the payments that he made to his former attorney, Michael Cohen, which the prosecution claims were reimbursements for paying off the adult film star before the election.
