One part of a couple who utilized Meijer, a man known only as John, stated on the show: “We thought, ‘Oh fuck.
What happens if these kids don’t realize they are connected to one other when they meet and perhaps develop a bond or fall in love? That’s when the actual fear set in.
At that point, we realized how dangerous this was.” The Netherlands forbade Jonathan Jacob Meijer from giving sperm.
The Hague District Court in Meijer’s home Netherlands prohibited him from providing sperm to fertility clinics in April 2023 after it was revealed he had fathered over 500 children.
If he gives once more, he will be fined €100,000 for each infraction. In the series, an unnamed sperm donor also claimed that Meijer and another man, known only as Leon, operated the website “Longing for a Child” in an attempt to father as many children as they could.
According to the anonymous donor, Meijer and Leon played a game of “sperm roulette,” combining their sperm samples to see what kind of child they would have.
Meijer denied having control of the website in an email to Business Insider. “There is no proof that I have managed a website.
In the early years of my donations, from 2008 to 2014, I had placed my advertisement on that particular website,” he stated.
“What Leon did is unclear to me, I have met him 4-5 times in my life, he passed away two years ago.”
Meijer said, mentioning Netflix: “This is very crazy, I’m going to sue you for slander! Not only will I file a lawsuit over the mixing, but I will also make other allegations.
Meijer traveled frequently for work, which prevented some of the mothers from meeting him in person when they learned how many children had been created using his sperm samples.
He regularly uploads videos to his YouTube channel discussing his opinions on a range of subjects, including raw meat diets, traditional women, spirituality, and his response to “The Man with 1000 Kids.”
He posted a video from Tanzania on May 5th, stating that he had left the Netherlands because it was getting too crowded and that he wanted to be nearer to the natural world.
Meijer was on a beach in Zanzibar, off the east coast of Africa, on July 3rd, when he uploaded his most recent video.
He clarified that up until 2019, he had donated “over 50,000 hours” as donor to clinics. After that, he stopped donating.
