Why Are You Acting Like You Don’t Know This Song?’ Miley Cyrus asks the Grammy audience during her “Flowers” performance.
Miley Cyrus, who just won her first-ever Grammy for the song “Flowers,” spiced up the live telecast with a fiery rendition of the No. 1 hit song. ………
“Why are you acting like you don’t know this song?” Cyrus asked the Grammys audience in between lines as she danced around the stage in a Tina Turner fashion while sporting a shimmering silver dress.
Then the camera panned to audience members, including Oprah Winfrey, who pointed to Cyrus and stood proudly while singing the words. ……
Towards the end of “Flowers,” Cyrus sprinkled in some new adlibs while swaying around the Crypto.com Arena and joyfully raising her hands in the air to commemorate her first Grammy victory.
Mariah Carey announced the winner of the best pop solo performance award, which Cyrus accepted just before her performance.
During her speech, Cyrus stressed how important it is for her to receive her first Grammy Award after working in the music business for almost 20 years.
To express his happiness, he shared a story with people.
“There was a little boy that all he wanted for his birthday was a butterfly. So his parents gave him a butterfly net and he was so excited. He went outside out in the sun and started swinging and swinging. But with no luck, he sat down on the ground, he finally let go and he surrendered. He was okay that he was not going to capture this beautiful butterfly,” Cyrus said. “Right when he did is when the butterfly came and landed right on the tip of his nose. And this song, ‘Flowers,’ is my butterfly. Thank you.”
